Land is highly prized in Korea, especially in the cities. You don't find many yards here, so people grow things wherever they can. I've seen various plants in buckets, crates, bowls and all kinds of other containers. People will put them outside in the sun, and then bring them inside at night. I've also seen little squatter gardens in vacant lots and up on the mountain.
